1. Who we are
EV Navigator is owned and operated by Elegant Logistics Infrastructure Pty Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”), an Australian company. This policy applies to the EV Navigator mobile applications and the ev-navigator.com website.
2. Information used by the mobile app
The app may request foreground location permission to show your position, calculate approximate distance to charging locations and return the map to your current area. Location is used to provide requested app functionality. The current version does not require a user account.
3. Favourites and local device storage
Charger favourites and selected preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not receive those favourites unless a future cloud-sync feature is introduced and you choose to use it. Any such feature will be covered by an updated policy before launch.
4. Third-party services
EV Navigator uses third-party services for maps, geocoding, hosting, security and charging-location information. These providers may process technical information needed to deliver their services under their own terms and privacy policies. Current charging data is supplied through Open Charge Map via EV Navigator’s secured backend service.
5. Website technical information
Our hosting providers may receive standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and security events. We do not currently operate advertising technology or non-essential behavioural tracking on this website.
6. Newsletter subscriptions
If you subscribe to EV Navigator Weekly, we collect the email address you provide and use an email-newsletter service provider to manage subscription confirmation, delivery, analytics needed to operate the newsletter and unsubscribe requests. Newsletter subscription is optional and separate from use of the EV Navigator app. You can unsubscribe using the link provided in each email.
7. Contact and support information
If you contact us, we may retain your name, email address, message, screenshots and related correspondence to respond, investigate issues, maintain support records and improve the service.
8. Use and disclosure
We use information only for operating, securing, supporting and improving EV Navigator, complying with law and protecting users or our rights. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers acting on our instructions or where required by law.
9. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, their contractual and technical safeguards apply in addition to applicable privacy law.
10. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy or to meet legal obligations. We apply reasonable technical and organisational controls, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and enquiries
You can control location permission through your device settings. You may contact us to ask about personal information we hold, request correction or raise a privacy concern, subject to applicable law.
12. Children
EV Navigator is not specifically directed to children and is intended for general audiences capable of using vehicle and navigation information responsibly.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
14. Contact
Privacy enquiries can be sent to [email protected]. General product support can be sent to [email protected].
This policy is a practical product disclosure and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before accounts, payments, advertising, analytics or broader international data processing are introduced.
